Webinar: Saving Water with Smart Meters and Citizen Engagement Technology
Since 2010 the city of Dubuque, Iowa, has conducted a "smarter water pilot study." Equipped with smart meters, unmeasured flow reducers and a web portal that allows homeowners to access real-time data about their water consumption, study participants used 6.6 percent less water, saving 3,409 gallons per household annually. This webinar will summarize how this program fits into Dubuque's larger vision of sustainability, what worked, what didn't work, and the lessons learned.
This blog is for Polk County Florida small farms and pesticide applicators as a method of communication and sharing information. This blog is administered by the University of Florida IFAS Extension Polk County Extension Agent, Mary Beth Henry.
