11th Annual Fall Field Day

The University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) will host its annual Fall Field Day, Tuesday, September 18th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the North Florida Research and Education Center (NFREC) in Quincy.
This year tours will include but not limited to “Demonstrations of Alternative Pest Control Strategies on Fruit Trees”, “Bacterial Disease Management on Tomato,” and “Attracting Birds to your Garden.” There will be a choice of two tours with dinner following. The programs at NFREC-Quincy cover a wide range of crops, including vegetables, wildlife, soils, small grains, agronomic row crops, forages, ornamentals, tree fruits, and forestry.
The Field Day will be held at the NFREC-Quincy, located off Pat Thomas Parkway at 155 Research Road. Registration begins at 3:00 p.m. and tours start at 3:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:15 p.m. Registration is free to the public however pre-registration is required.
