Small Farms Livestock Production Conference - March 23

Attached and below is information and registration form for the Small Farms and Livestock Production Conference to be held March 23 at the Bert Harris Agri-Civic Center (4509 W. George Blvd, Sebring).

The agenda is as follows:

11:00   Animal Health Issues: Sources, Buying and Keeping them Healthy – Lindsey Wiggins

12:00   Fencing, equipment, holding, handling and housing needs and wants for Livestock Production – Randy Gornto

The Small Farms Livestock Production Conference was designed for small landowners who are considering the raising, management and production of livestock for pleasure or profit. This course was designed more specifically for new or agriculturally inexperienced landowners who are considering some field of livestock production on their small or limited acreage to help guide them and provide them information for making a more informed decision about what type of livestock producer they may want to be. It is intended to be an on-going series to provide basic information about all the different animal species as possibilities for a small farming operation, some economic and business basics of agricultural production.

 

Cost of the program is $35.  Registration is required (please see attached for registration).
