I am writing to remind you of the upcoming Food Entrepreneurship Workshop, “How to Start a Food Business in Florida”. The flyer for the workshop and mail-in registration form including tentative agenda are attached to this email. Please share with anyone who would be interested in your district/county/department. Also please forward this information to commercial kitchens and/or food business incubator in your district. And if you use any social network (facebook, tweeter etc.), please consider sharing this information through SNS.
This workshop offers general information on food safety and quality, basic food science, business planning, and federal/state regulatory requirements for food businesses. This year we offer the workshop at two different locations to accommodate more clients – The first workshop will be held in Gainesville on May 13, and then the second workshop in Immokalee on May 27 through the collaboration with Collier County. The program and instructors will be exactly same on both workshop, so please register for only one, but not both. Registration is limited to 45 in each location due to room capacity.
Early bird registration with discount ends at the end of this month.
You can register through Eventbrite (links below) or by sending the attached mail-in registration form to me.
May 13th, Gainesville, FL workshop: http://tinyurl.com/ FoodBusinessGNV
May 27th Gainesville, FL workshop: http://tinyurl.com/ FoodBusinessImmokalee
Please be advised that this workshop is not an in-service training. However, as last year, a small number of seats in the workshop are reserved for extension agents and a discount is offered ($25 off from the standard fee). For county agent registration with discount, please enter the promotional code (foodbusiness2016).
Feel free to let me know if you have any question.
Thank you so much for your help and your support.
