We want to let you know that today the FDA announced its intention to extend the compliance dates for the agricultural water standards in the produce safety rule. They are in the process of developing this extension, which will give them time to consider the best approach for addressing concerns raised by our stakeholders. While more details about the extension are forthcoming, the welcome your thoughts about how they can most appropriately and effectively work together to address concerns that you may have about the agricultural water standards. Please let them know what you would find helpful, and what questions you may have.
More information can be found here:

We'll be in touch in the future as we have more information related to the FDA guidance documents, movement on the agricultural water requirements, and a one-on-one in person On-Farm Readiness Review Programs to assess your readiness for an inspection.
Thanks again for attending a PSA Grower Safety Training,
Travis Chapin and Michelle Danyluk
