An i-Tree Training Workshop, is being offered by the Florida Urban Forest Council, to learn how to inventory your urban forest using the i-Tree inventory and anlysis system developed by the U.S. Forest Service. The workshop will be presented August 29-30 on the Plant City Campus of Hillsborough County Community College.
This two-day workshop is designed to serve as an introduction or refresher course for participants to learn the latest version of i-Tree (version 5.0). i-Tree is a free urban forestry software suite that allows users to quantify and assess the monetary value ($) of the environmental benefits of the urban forest; describe its composition, size and condition of the trees; and estimate total landscape value.
The workshop will include hands-on training and step-by-step assistance on project formatting, data collection, reports generation, and how to use reports to guide future urban forestry management and policies.
