2012 Florida Ag Expo Program Taking Shape – Mark Your Calendars.
The program for the 2012 Florida Ag Expo at the Univ. of Florida/Gulf Coast Research Center in Balm, Florida is coming together. This year’s event will feature three educational sessions focusing on marketing, new varieties, and pest and disease management. As always, the Expo will feature guided and walking field tours, featuring the latest agronomic trials for specialty crop growers in Florida.

* Grower Roundtable: Growers discuss farm-level insights on how to break through to make your product shine.
* Retail Insights: Perspectives from the retail level regarding what buyers are looking for from growers and their produce.
* Tapping Into The School Lunch Program: Learn how to benefit under the new School Nutrition Program, now under the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
New Varieties
See the latest developments in tomatoes, strawberries, peaches, and blueberries.
Pest & Disease Update
- Get the latest updates on important insect and disease control techniques.
- Nematode management techniques in the era of evolving fumigant rules and practices.
- Weed management updates
Field Tours
Field tours will feature trials on plant pathology, entomology, nematology, and weed science. In addition, new tomato variety trials will be featured.
