Hello, members and supporters of the SW FL Small Farmers Network (SWFSFN). We are pleased to share with you this announcement of the upcoming course called ‘Annie’s Project’ by UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County. It’s schedule to begin June 17th and registration is open now – see attachment for its flyer. The cost is $50 for the entire course of 6 sessions.
Here’s some background of this Annie’s Project course:
“The purpose of the Annie's Project program is to help agricultural women gain entrepreneurial skills to operate their farm and/or ranch operation. It provides training applicable to beginning & existing women producers, and to rural and urban settings in FL. In addition, Annie’s Project will help women find new ways to balance demands of family, community and professionalism within the agricultural community. Six (6) sessions will combine lecture, discussion, individual and small group activities and networking with local Ag professionals. Light refreshments and pot luck foods will be available for 1/2 hr before each session.”
If you know of someone who would also be interested in this course, please, feel free to share this email with them. Also if they are not familiar with our SWFSFN, please, ask them to join our networking Yahoo website at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/SW_FL_Small_Farms/info
Thanks,
robert
