News from the UF Plant Disease Clinic – Gainesville

 

Holiday Closures-             The lab will be closed Monday, May 28^th and Wednesday, July 4^th 2012 for the Memorial Day and Independence Day holidays.  Please schedule samples to arrive by the Wednesday before the Monday holiday, and not on Wednesday, July 4th.  This way we can assure an accurate diagnosis with a fresh sample that has not been in transit for too long.   

 

Open House-                     Our annual open house will be held Wednesday, July 11^th from 9am-4pm. This year we will offer scheduled talks that will give you an opportunity to earn CEUs. Mark your calendar!  More information will be coming soon.

 

New Database-                 The Plant Disease Clinic will be implementing a new database system in the very near future.  You will notice a different look to the reports and invoices you receive. Please bear with us as we adjust to the new system.  In the long run it should be more streamlined and suited to our (and your) needs.

 

We’re Growing!               Groundbreaking for our new state-of-the-art laboratory is scheduled for the last week of May.  Move-in is scheduled for December, and we plan to begin offering classes in our new teaching laboratory in early spring 2013.  View our site and floor plan at the Open House!
