We are pleased to announce Will Allen as the Keynote Speaker for the 2010 Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference.

Allen is founder and CEO of Growing Power, Inc., a Milwaukee-based organization that receives ever-growing national acclaim for its efforts to secure healthy, abundant and affordable food for all. The two-acre urban farm site and Community Food Center in downtown Milwaukee, and rural farm sites in Wisconsin uses a suite of innovative strategies to produce 159 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs as well as goats, poultry, rabbits, bees, fish and forages.

Recently named to Time's 100: World's Most Influential People list, Will Allen is a John D. and Catherine T. McArthur Foundation Fellow (2008) and winner of a prestigious McArthur "genius grant". The organization has one simple goal: "to grow food, to grow minds, and to grow community".
