Public waters and bathymetric maps now online

More than 450 public waters in Florida are eligible for aquatic plant management funding through the FWC Invasive Plant Management Section. A list of these waterbodies is now online at the Public Waters page of the UF-IFAS Center for Aquatic & Invasive Plants website: Plant Management in Florida Waters. Bathymetric maps also are provided for approximately 150 public waters with a history of large-scale hydrilla problems or management programs. Water volumes are calculated for one-foot contours, and water acreage and average lake volume are provided based on the time of data collection.
