Tourist Development Council
Polk County Tourist Development Council’s primary objective is to increase overnight stays in Polk County accommodations and enhance the county’s economic climate. US IPSC Nationals
Date: Tuesday, October 8– Sunday, October 13
Venue: Universal Shooting Academy, Frostproof
- The 2013 United States International Practical Shooting Confederation Nationals is a National Championship that offers participants the opportunity to demonstrate their action pistol practical shooting ability.
- The top shooters will then advance to the United States Team to compete in the 2014 IPSC World Shoot.
FSGA Mid-Amateur Golf Championship
Date: Thursday, October 10– Monday, October 14
Venue: Mountain Lake County Club, Lake Wales
- Florida State Golf Association presents the Mid-Amateur Golf Championship at Mountain Lake Golf Course.
Florida ISA College Showcase
Date: Saturday, October 12 – Sunday, October 13
Venue: Bartow “555” Softball Complex
- Florida Independent Softball Association (Florida ISA) presents the College Showcase, a youth softball qualifying tournament that is expected to bring more than 500 participants and spectators to Polk County.
Florida ISA Youth Halloween Havoc
Date: Saturday, October 12 – Sunday, October 13
Venue: Bartow “555” Softball Complex
- Florida Independent Softball Association (Florida ISA) presents the Youth Halloween Havoc, a youth softball qualifying tournament that is expected to bring more than 500 participants and spectators to Polk County.
Lake Region Baseball- Fall Classic Invitational
Date: Saturday, October 12 – Sunday, October 13
Venue: Chain of Lakes Complex, Winter Haven; Lake Region High School, Eagle Lake
- Lake Region Baseball hosts an 18-U and 16-U baseball tournament at the Chain of Lakes Complex and the Lake Region High baseball stadium in Winter Haven.
NSA Softball Tournament
Date: Saturday, October 12 – Sunday, October 13
Venue: Diamondplex, Winter Haven
- The National Softball Association will host the Adult Softball Tournament at Diamondplex in Winter Haven over Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13.
