Spanish Language Pesticide License Class

Just wanted to remind you of the upcoming Spanish Language Pesticide License Class on Aug. 14-15.

The Hendry County Extension Office will be offering a Spanish language training class in the CORE and Private Pesticide Applicator categories on August 14 (CORE) and August 15 (Private Applicator Agriculture), 2014 at the Hendry County Extension Office at 1085 Pratt Boulevard, LaBelle. Classes will begin at 9 AM and will take approximately four hours. Core and Private Pesticide Applicator tests will be offered after each session.

These classes will be conducted in Spanish and are structured to help Spanish speakers to prepare for the Core and Private Pesticide Applicator tests. The class will include an intensive review in Spanish and English of the English terms needed to be successful on the tests. NOTE: As required by state law, all restricted use pesticide tests will be administered in English only.

Please note that a registration fee of $10.00 per day will be charged to defray costs - lunch is included. Pre-registration is required as classes will be limited to 40 students on a first come first serve basis.
To register call to Debra at 863-674-40923 or dcabrera@ufl.edu

All the best.

It's OK to print this email. Paper is a biodegradable, renewable, sustainable product made from trees. Growing and harvesting trees provides jobs for millions of Americans. Working forests are good for the environment and provide clean air and water, wildlife habitat and carbon storage. Thanks to improved forest management, we have more trees in America today than we had 100 years ago. Be sure the paper you are using carries the Sustainable Forestry Initiative label.
