Tour Suwannee County Farm: learn how family conserves natural resources, mitigates climate change

Tour Suwannee County Family Farm

 

WHAT:  Tour of the Claude and Sammy Starlings’ Farm demonstrates sustainable farming for more profit, less risk and less impact on the environment. Experts will show:

 

·         Peanut strip-tilled into Bahiagrass

·         Peanut fertilizer trials

·         Short-term Bahiagrass for seed and grazing

·         Summary of benefits of sod based rotation

·         Adaptive farming techniques

·         Farmer experiences strip-tilling directly into grass
