Building Your Own Farm's Food Safety Manual

Description:  This one day workshop targeted to fruit and vegetable field or greenhouse operations will help growers to actually develop their own food safety manuals. The classes will be done in a computer and will guide farmers thru all the steps needed to pass a third party audit.

Drip Irrigation School

Description: This two-day program covers design, maintenance and operation of a drip irrigation system.  It is perfect for the small farmer who wants to learn how to set-up and use a system, how to schedule irrigation events, about fertigation and chemigation and troubleshooting.

Small Scale Mushroom Production

Description: This hands-on one-day workshop will teach participants how to select, grow, harvest, and market mushrooms appropriate for Florida. Shiitake and Oyster mushrooms will be addressed during this program.

Hydroponic Workshop "Starting a Successful Hydroponic Business"

Description: This workshop will feature hands-on activities inside 3 greenhouses, a shade house and 2 tunnel structures.  It is perfect for the small farmer wanting to start a business using controlled growing systems. Topics covered: Structures for protected culture, starting transplants, soilless media systems, IPM, water and nutrient management, specialty crops. This class will be held on two different dates:
