Summary
Under general supervision, manages natural areas, Watershed and Stormwater lakes, canals, wetlands and environmental areas; evaluates, selects and applies the proper herbicides in compliance with current Florida state laws; performs routine maintenance and operational functions at Watershed pumping stations, wellfields and water control structures; and performs related duties as assigned.
Salary
$16.11 hourly (Pay Grade 41)
Qualifications
High school diploma from an institution recognized by Florida Department of Education or GED, and one (1) year of experience in environmental/natural areas to include application of herbicides/pesticides, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. State of Florida Restricted Pesticide/Herbicide License is required, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment. Natural area certification within 18 months of employment is required. A valid Florida driver's license is required. Additional certification may include: Commercial Driver's License; Use Pesticide /Aquatic license; City of West Palm Beach Respirator Operator.
