UF Stone Fruit Field Day - April 19th, 2016

Please save the date for the annual UF Stone Fruit Field Day!

DATE: April 19th, 2016

TIME: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

LOCATION: UF Plant Science Research and Education Unit, Citra, FL

REGISTRATION: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2016-uf-stone-fruit-field-day-tickets-21495597912

This year we have an exciting program, featuring Chalmers Carr, owner of Titan Farms, the largest peach orchard operation east of the Mississippi River. Additional topics include updates on critical bud temperatures in peach (are our varieties different?), potential nematode-resistant rootstocks for Florida, new insects of concern, and nematodes in Florida peach orchards. We will also touch base on the failure of the marketing order, and what the next steps are towards a Florida Peach Growers Association/Organization.

CEU credits will be available for application to pesticide licenses (1-1.5 anticipated).

Lunch, coffee, and break items will be graciously provided by our sponsors - so please thank them if you see them at the field day!

Please register to receive a ticket for lunch - deadline for registration is April 12th, 2016.

Current Sponsors:

·      Maxijet

·      Island Grove Ag Products

Cheers, and if you have any questions, be sure to send me an email or call!
