New Year means new webinar

Have you registered for the upcoming webinar?

Joy Rumble and Katie Stofer will be featured in January's upcoming webinar as they discuss a statewide strategic plan for agritourism. The plan provides a vision of moving agritourism forward in Florida and is a resource for agritourism operators and service providers alike. Topics to be discussed include strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to agritourism in Florida, resources for agritourism in Florida, and recommendations for agritourism in Florida. The webinar will be on January 18 at 2 p.m. EST but be sure to register for the webinar today.

 

 

 

Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) webinar


Today's EDEN webinar will focus on risk communication and how to improve communication about long-term risks. The webinar will premiere at 2:00 p.m. EST today, January 10. For more information and to register, click the button below. 
 

 

Graduate students from various disciplines work with the UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education to advance the mission of the center. 

Meet Bommidi Jyothi "BJ" Swaroop, a doctoral student at the University of Florida studying extension education in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication. Swaroop has worked with the PIE Center for nearly two years, focusing on data analysis and research writing. 

"I had a chance to work on public perceptions in agriculture and natural resources and identifying capacities needed for extension services to be effective," Swaroop said. "I found my research focus while working with the PIE Center."
