Tourist Development Council

Polk County Tourist Development Council’s primary objective is to increase overnight stays in Polk County accommodations and enhance the county’s economic climate. The TDC and subcommittees hold public meetings year-round. The full meeting schedule is listed on VisitCentralFlorida.org/TDC  and CentralFloridaSports.com.

Domingo Martinez at The Loft Art Gallery

This September, The Loft Art Gallery will showcase the erratically fantastic work of Domingo Martinez.
- Martinez’s paintings make their debut during downtown Lakeland’s First Friday festivities and will include a free reception complete with live music, wine and hors d’oeuvres.

- This educational Astronomy Night will including topics such as star clusters, Saturn and different galaxies and is geared towards beginners, experts and people of all ages.

Astronomy Night at Circle B

Venue: Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland
- Meet in the Workshop for an indoor presentation or introduction to the night sky and a discussion on what types of telescopes are best for star gazing, and then, step outside for the big viewing event.
- Astronomy Night requires sign up, and beginners to seasoned astronomers are welcome.

Bartow Farmers Market

- The Bartow Farmers Market is home to a variety of vendors with different fresh produce, plants, preserves, pickles, and artisans every weekend.

Dog Day of Summer

Venue: Bok Tower Gardens, Lake Wales
- Leashed and friendly dogs are invited to visit Bok Tower Gardens along with their owners to help support the Humane Society of Polk County and receive dog grooming tips along with health, safety and adoption information.

Downtown Lakeland Farmers Curb Market

The Downtown Lakeland Farmers Curb Market returns with a variety of items from freshly picked produce to beautiful plants every Saturday.

Servapalooza Polk

- Servapalooza is an interactive volunteer festival, where businesses, non-profit, faith-based and government organizations throughout Polk County will showcase their community outreach projects and participants learn about local volunteer opportunities.
