Tourist Development Council

Polk County Tourist Development Council’s primary objective is to increase overnight stays in Polk County accommodations and enhance the county’s economic climate. The TDC and subcommittees hold public meetings year-round. The full meeting schedule is listed on VisitCentralFlorida.org/TDC  and CentralFloridaSports.com.

Moscow Ballet presents The Nutcracker

Venue: The Lakeland Center
- Celebrate Russian ballet and the beauty of the holidays with Moscow Ballet's grand production of The Nutcracker at The Lakeland Center.

Betting on Death

Venue: Ramon Theater, Frostproof
- Join the Ramon Theater for an evening of mystery, dinner, a sparking beverage, party favors and Ramon Theater’s own “cast of characters”.

Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party
Date: Tuesday, December 31
Venue: LEGOLAND Florida, Winter Haven
- Kids’ New Year’s Eve is the perfect way to ring in the new year with the family where the giant LEGO brick drops at a very kid-friendly midnight KST (Kid Standard Time) – otherwise known as 6:00 p.m. EST. - Other event elements include a spectacular fireworks show and a DJ dance party in Miniland USA.
