Tourist Development Council

Polk County Tourist Development Council’s primary objective is to increase overnight stays in Polk County accommodations and enhance the county’s economic climate. The TDC and subcommittees hold public meetings year-round. The full meeting schedule is listed on VisitCentralFlorida.org/TDC  and CentralFloridaSports.com.

Spirit of the Buffalo Pow Wow

- Enjoy Native American dancers and drumming, demonstrations, food, crafts and more as International Market World in Auburndale hosts the annual Spirit of the Buffalo Pow Wow.

Discovery Saturdays

Venue: Bok Tower Gardens, Lake Wales
- Children ages 6-12 will discover nature’s joy in the Gardens while playing outside and making new friends.

Family Fun Day

Venue: Polk County History Center, Bartow
- The history center invites families to enjoy a day of arts and crafts on the second Saturday of each month at the Polk County History Center in Bartow.

Jim Stafford Free Concert

Venue: Ritz Theatre, Winter Haven
- Enjoy live music, wit, and an evening of entertainment provided by Winter Haven’s own, Jim Stafford.

Live Bait Band - A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett & Summertime Fun

Raging Races Resolution Run

Venue: Lake Parker Park, Lakeland
- Participants will run through the beautiful scenery of Lake Parker Park in Lakeland and will conquer several challenging obstacles along the way.

Moonlight Carillon Concert
Date: Monday, January 13
Venue: Bok Tower Gardens, Lake Wales
- Enjoy a carillon concert under the light of the full moon for a unique opportunity to visit the Gardens after-hours and have a light dinner at the Blue Palmetto CafĂ©.

Twist and Shout
Date: Tuesday, January 14
Venue: The Lakeland Center
- This multimedia show coming to The Lakeland Center features band members who both look and sound like the original artists themselves as well as being superb musicians in their own right.
