Take the Kids to the Market...

Polk County public school students are officially on summer break, so make the Market an exciting family destination this Saturday. There's plenty to do and see and eat. Get in line early for breakfast from Becky's, Born & Bread, or The Gourmet Muffin. Let the kids pick their favorite fruits as a healthy snack from one of our amazing produce vendors, like Erendira's or Vita's. Encourage them to choose a plant from one of our plant vendors, like Gonzalez Plants or Central Florida Berries--they can give their new plant friend a name and take it home as a summer project. Finally, let them stop and pet some of our weekly Market dogs, like Gertie (with the owner's permission, of course). The Market is fun for the whole family!

New Market Footprint:

Due to the new construction on Bay Street, the Market now stretches directly north from the train tracks, up North Kentucky Avenue, across Pine Street and Bay Street, all the way to Oak Street. That's approximately five block of Market fun! There is parking conveniently located at both ends of the market--on Oak Street and across the train tracks by Munn Park. As always, there is also on-street parking on Tennesee Ave. and Pine St.
