SE Forestry Initiative - new funding through NRCS WHIP

I just spoke to the NRCS state office and was informed about new funding (~$700,000) for the “SE Forestry Initiative” through WHIP.  The sign-up deadline will be June 25^th.

 

Please help by getting the word out to any potentially interested landowners before the deadline.  Interested landowners will need to sign up at their nearest NRCS office.  Please be aware that there are eligibility criteria that will have to be met.

Note - There will be points given to those landowners that have a Management Plan completed prior to the deadline as well as those landowners who are willing to plant Longleaf.
