PMN Celebrates 10th Anniversary!

Please join the Plant Management Network in celebrating ten years of innovative online publishing. Launched July 27, 2000, PMN began with the single journal, Plant Health Progress. In the ensuing years, three additional journals were added, Crop Management, Forage and Grazinglands, and Applied Turfgrass Science.

Other additions over time include Plant Disease Management Reports; Arthropod Management Tests; several proceedings publications; image collections; an employment and internship posting service; and searchable databases of state extension publications, plant science journals, and products and services. Its newer Focus on Potato, Focus on Soybean, and Focus on Agricultural Practitioners provide current science-based educational presentations and resources on specific crop management and protection practices.

PMN is jointly managed by the American Society of Agronomy, American Phytopathological Society, and Crop Science Society of America. Its mission is to enhance the health, management, and production of agricultural and horticultural crops.

Dimole Is Newest Industry Partner

Plant Management Network welcomes Dimole, Inc. to its industry partners program. Dimole develops and markets state-of-the-art microarray technology solutions for laboratories. Its innovative DIM-ArrayTM products allow laboratories to provide fast, reliable molecular diagnostics. These unique microarray systems for phytophthora, potato viruses, and the nitrogen cycle, enable laboratories to assay one sample for multiple diseases in one test, and display a high-throughput capacity. They present many advantages including increased disease number testing capabilities, the ability to test for dormant viruses, an internal control to avoid false negative results and the efficient turn-around time in garnering results. more>>

The initial launch contains six expert webcasts on current crop management and protection issues with the most recent on Zebra Chip Disease of Potatoes. An additional webcast will be added monthly and be publicly available. Beginning August 1, past webcasts will be deposited in a subscription archive. The site also contains a searchable database of university extension publications and other useful resources.
