Launched July 27, 2000, PMN began with the single journal, Plant Health Progress. In the ensuing years, three additional journals were added, Crop Management, Forage and Grazinglands, and Applied Turfgrass Science. Other additions over time include Plant Disease Management Reports; Arthropod Management Tests; several proceedings publications; image collections; an employment and internship posting service; and searchable databases of state extension publications, plant science journals, and products and services. Its newer Focus on Potato, Focus on Soybean, and Focus on Agricultural Practitioners provide current science-based educational presentations and resources on specific crop management and protection practices. PMN is jointly managed by the American Society of Agronomy, American Phytopathological Society, and Crop Science Society of America. Its mission is to enhance the health, management, and production of agricultural and horticultural crops.
