Seeking Presentations for the MAPMS
33nd Annual Conference
Cleveland, OH
March 3-6th 2013
Submission deadline – December 7th, 2012
The 33rd annual Midwest Aquatic Plant Management Society (MAPMS) conference will be held at the Marriott Cleveland Downtown at Key Center, OH on March 3-6th, 2013. There will be two full days of technical presentations on Monday, March 4th and Tuesday, March 5th.
All oral presentations will be 20 minute timeslots. The presentations should be 15 minutes in duration and allow 5 minutes for questions at the conclusion. All presentations should include topics on aspects of aquatic plant management including ecology or biology of aquatic plants and control of aquatic plants utilizing chemical, mechanical, or biological techniques plus regulatory updates related to the industry. Additionally, presentations on subjects related to the aquatic plant management industry are welcomed. Relevant student paper presentations are highly encouraged.
It is important to understand that presentations should be information based and not mention pricing. MAPMS is a non-profit society and pricing discussions must be held in the exhibit room at rented vendor booths only. All presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint format. A windows-based laptop will be provided at the podium and pre-loaded with the PowerPoint presentations. Slide and overhead projectors will not be available.
