I’m emailing to encourage you to list your small farm Extension events on the calendar for the new Yahoo Group for the SW FL Small Farmer Network (SWFSFN) - see http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/SW_FL_Small_Farms/. As you know, the members of SWFSFN are very interested in regional educational events and are willing to travel to them in our geographical area encompassing from Tampa to Naples. It’s a great way for all of us to optimize the outreach of our respective Extension programs.
And thanks to everyone for helping spread the word to your small farmer clientele about the using this Yahoo Group for their networking needs in between our scheduled onfarm meetings.
FYI – we hope to soon release the announcement of an upcoming SWFSFN meeting at the UF/IFAS Gulfcoast REC in early October.
