The right time for rolling rye:
Growers nationwide are adopting the environmentally friendly practice of "rolling" rye when it's used as a cover crop, and an ARS scientist has identified the best time to roll the rye in springtime for maximum weed suppression without having unwanted rye sprouting in spring crops. (11/16)
