SWFSFN Announcemnt: Locally Grown Workshop in Orlando

To Members and Supporters of the SW FL Small Farmers Network (SWFSFN), I’m pleased to share with you the announcement of a local foods growers meeting by the food service company Freshpoint – see the attachment.

This announcement is from Dan Snowden of Freshpoint who generously provided transportation for some of the FL-raised foods served at the banquets of our successful 2010 FL Small Farms Conference.  Dan says that while the workshop will highlight the food safety requirements to sell to Freshpoint for their local customers who are asking for locally-raised foods, this event is also an opportunity to meet him and other buyer representatives from Freshpoint about selling your foods to them.

The details of this meeting are as follows:

Date:  October 13, 2010

Location:  Orlando, FL

(for exact address, please, follow the registration directions in the announcement, i.e., register by calling the Produce Marketing Association (PMA)  1 (302) 738-7100 or solutionctr@pma.com)

I sincerely hope that this opportunity serves your marketing efforts in the development of local foodsheds in Florida . . .

Thanks,

Robert
