New draft version of 2009 Model ordinance book

The Draft of the 2014 revisions were posted on the DEP website last fall, but in the transition of personnel and our divisional structure, combined with our fall peak workload at the start of the federal fiscal year, it seems I never sent this email at the time.  It is posted on our website page, http://www.dep.state.fl.us/water/nonpoint/pubs.htm.   Under #4 you will find:

The current DRAFT “2014 Florida Friendly Guidance Models for Ordinances, Covenants, and Restrictions” is available for review and use as guidance. Please send all comments to Dr. Mike Thomas at michael.thomas@dep.state.fl.us by the end of 2013.

Please try to send your comments by June 30th, 2014.  Hopefully, the Urban Turf Rule revisions FDACS is working on will be completed by then, and any changes can be incorporated.  The one change that is known is that referenced to “Rule 5E-1.003(2),” will change to “Rule 5E-1.003”, because the rule numbering structure will be revised to meet national protocol.

Thanks,

Mike Thomas
