Blueberries Spotted Wing Drosophila Update - Tuesday, May 4, 2010

There will be an update on the spotted wing drosophila, a potential pest of blueberries in west central Florida, on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 starting at 5:30 PM at the Pasco County Extension Office in Dade City.  Please visit the attached Florida DPI Pest Alert:

We have scheduled the update in the evening as we realize most will be very busy with harvest.  Hopefully, representatives from most farms will be able to attend.  Presentations will be made by Dr. David Dean of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Drs. Jim Price and Oscar Liburd from the University of Florida.

I will forward the program agenda when it is finalized.

Thank you,
