Be In The Know At The Florida Ag Expo

The 2011 Florida Ag Expo is less than a month away. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the UF/IFAS Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Balm, and witness for yourself what has grown into the must-attend event for Florida vegetable and small fruit growers.

The schedule for this year’s Expo is designed to cover all the bases. Methyl Bromide replacements and new fumigant rules will be one of the hot topics addressed. Dr. Andrew MacRae will provide attendees with the latest research on weed control with methyl bromide replacements and how they need to prepare for new fumigant management rules coming in December. Click here to watch a sneak preview of this need-to-know session.

In addition to the enlightening educational sessions, attendees will be able to gather useful information and feedback from the scheduled field and greenhouse tours, grower and stakeholder roundtables, as well as the expanded tradeshow display area where scores of industry suppliers will be showing off the latest products and services.

REGISTER NOW for the 2011 Florida Ag Expo and you will receive a complimentary edition of "Florida Grower'sVegetable Pest ID & Control" in your registration packet. This perfect-bound reference publication, showcasing a decade's worth of work from Florida Grower "Pest of the Month" author Gene McAvoy (UF/IFAS), is the must-have reference tool for every grower in the Sunshine State.
